Reproductions and reprints of materials held at the Museo del Mare are authorized upon request for research, study, or publication purposes, following an assessment of the characteristics and condition of the selected materials.
Authorization is also required for non-publishing uses and is subject to an evaluation of the intended use, which must be specified in the request.
In the case of commercial use, authorization is also subject to the payment of reproduction fees and a refund of the expenses incurred by the administration.
Any use without authorization or that deviates from what has been agreed upon is unlawful.

Publication and Dissemination of Images
All images that are published or otherwise disseminated must include a caption indicating their source (Museo del Mare, Trieste) and the identifying details of the object and the corresponding collection, as specified in the authorization provided by the Museum.
Organizations, institutions, authors, or publishers are required to provide two complimentary copies of the publication or other printed materials in which the images appear. These copies are intended for the Mario Marzari Library.
